I have 3 groups of 3. Two of the groups are together in a smaller sugar glider cage. The smallest are still in a small bin (too small to be with the bigger two groups). The 2 that are together are round 6 and 7 weeks old, maybe 8 weeks. Weights are: 197, 199, 201 (2 of them), 233 and 238 grams. Couple days ago i notice Buster (233g now) had a scab on the tip of his penis and it was swelling when i went to make him potty. I got the scab off and keep neosporin on it. Today i caught the suckler... Elvis. Weighinh 197. I took him out and put him in his own bin.

My question is how long do you usually keep them separate? He is going completely crazy on his own. I put a small cuddle buddy in with him... should i also put his bin back on a low heating pad since hes now alone? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

You can put Thum around the penis to keep the other from suckling. At 7-8 weeks old they're getting blocks, right? Blocks will keep them occupied from suckling as they have something to gnaw on/occupy themselves with. What/how much food are they getting daily?

Yea they gets blocks. Only the older 3 really go at them. The smaller of this big group kinda do but just not as much as the other. I even have blocks in with my youngest group (4-5 weeks) two have their eyes open and will nibble on them.

Whats Them?

Thum is something you buy for infant humans to coat their fingers with to get them to stop sucking their thumb. It comes in a little glass bottle and can be found by the baby stuff. I think I got it at Walgreens for $4 or so.

Bought some Thum... but is it really safe? I read on the back "remove with nail polish remover" and that made me wonder. Is that safe to really use on their private parts.

Have not used it myself but it has been safely used by others without negativity so will assume it must be.
Just remember the key word is "around" the penis, you wouldn't want to obstruct the opening.

So far so good! Put some on the boys (5) last night and heard no suckling at all. However as im writting this i just stopped a boy from suckling on one of my girls. Should i also just put a small dot right above their areas too?

Cloves are the number one ingredient in a brand of squirrel repellant sold at home improvement stores in the USA. (I don't own any of this. I read the back of the can while snooping around Tractor Supply several weeks ago.)

I'm currently rehabbing two 4-week olds. The female is bigger and more assertive and wouldn't leave the smaller male alone. I didn't have any cloves last week, but I did have some Allspice. I put my finger in it and then gently applied a little to my male's penis (not the opening) and his scrotal sack after stimulating him to urinate post feedings. The female hasn't nursed on him since I started doing this. She still sleeps beside him, but no longer roots on his belly to find something to nurse.

The thum stuff worked really good. Just wondering if safe for a female too cause theres not as much skin for the ladies to apply it lol

No more suckling! Thank you for suggesting Thum. I was putting it on them once in the morning and once at night time (package said twice a day) and now im just doing it in the mornings... still nothing.
