Just came home to the following message. This is in Charlotte NC, about over an hour away from me. I have asked they call poison control for help. Any advise or contacts please! Vet would be preferable. MESSAGE: Hi Cindy, I hope you're doing well. I'm in a bit of a situation and thought you might know who I could contact. I was renovating a building for a rescue dog and insulating a corner with liquid foam. The stuff dries in under a minute but whatever it is on when wet it will dry like cement. I blast LOUD music and hit all the walls with hammers before I start work each day because my biggest fear is hurting any wildlife that takes refuge in the building overnight. I applied foam to a corner and a gray squirrel leaped out of a tree and darted inside, then face first into the foamed corner. In his attempts to get it off his face he only smeared it worse, blinding himself. I took off my hoodie and caught him and I've got him in a cat carrier. He's scared but he's breathing and he's fighting back, both things I'm grateful for. But this was my worse fear and I'm calling exotic vets and rehabs but I'm hitting dead ends. I will do anything I can to save him if he can live out a quality life, even if this costs him his sight. I'm so sick over it. HELP PLEASE!!

Acetone will remove it but that's not safe around the face. Pumice stone will also help remove it but you would have to be really careful and only use it on the thicker spots of foam. vaseline is also another way to remove it but it has to be applied and massaged. ??? I don't know of any other way to remove that stuff safely from the face of a squirrel.

Just did a quick search online... most people say if it is on hair it will not come off. The hair has to be cut off. Ugh, what a nightmare. That poor baby!!

Found one more thing that might be helpful. Everyone says you just have to let it wear off, which takes days but I've found several people who say they put all purpose flour on the sticky foam and just kept rubbing. The flour would clump up and fall off in small pieces, taking the foam with it. It sounds like this could take hours (or days) but could possibly work. It's just the hair aspect that has me worried.

Thanks all...I have suggested she burrito wrap and trim what she could. My BIG concern is the eyes. Trying to find wildlife vet nearby.
I would be reluctant to use mosr cghemicals around the face because of the eyes/nose

Just found this:
And these toxins are not just dangerous to inhale: contact with eyes and even skin can be irritating, and even lead to temporary blindness.
Hopefully whatever happens is temporary...

Send a Private Message to Sissy. She might know of someone in the area that can help.
The squirrel probably has babies in the wall. Why else would she have done this?
Edit... I noticed you said HE. If it's a male it rules that out. :tilt

Oil. Get a bottle of vegetable oil and saturate the fur. Let it sit for a while and add more. You want to let the fur sit, saturated in the oil, for at least a couple hours before you begin to try to start working it of the fur. It should break the bond and allow chunks of it to slide off the fur.
Fingernail polish remover is acetone with fragrance added and could be used in areas NOT near the eyes but she may react violently to the smell, where the oil, while slower, won't do that.
Is there any way you can open the wall to see if she has babies in there?

Sissy was my first contact! We have worked together before. Anyway, the baby will be heading to a wildlife knowledgeable vet for care, thru ARC (animal rehabilitators of the Carolina's.) Praying for the best! Will keep everyone posted! Thanks for all of your help! BTW..I thought of the baby thing too. The wall will be coming down to be checked..

Wouldn't rule out it's a female, a lot of people mistake the female's "protrusion" for male.

Me too! The vet should be able to confirm if she does or not.
