View Full Version : Squirrel and Guinea Pig Question

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure where to post this question. I'm currently overwintering a baby squirrel. He shares the spare room with my guinea pig. Can squirrels pass on any diseases to guinea pigs or vies versa? I'm asking because my guinea pig just passed away -- he was sick with a URI and i was trying to get him better. :(

Not at all familiar with guinea pigs, soooo bump!

With URIs, I always feel like they might be transmittable, but I am not sure about this. Is the squirrel showing any signs of illness?
I will move this thread to the non-life threatening section.

No the squirrel is acting normal (knock on wood). Would the symptoms be the same?
