i've just joined this board. i'm a wildlife rehabilitator in virginia, mostly doing orphaned babies until they're weaned. this winter i got an Brisnea incubator from Baby Warm. i need help from someone who has used one for baby mammals because the instructions are for chicks. what temperature to set? what sort of "nest" to put the babies in? can anyone help?

I have an incubator from Baby Warm as well, I think yours is a different model, but I'll assume they are doing the same thing. I fill the bottom with fleece blankets. The temp depends on the size/age of the squirrels. I use 95ish for pinky's and I also make sure to always have the water tray filled for humidity.
If it is only one baby I'd probably increase the heat, but it all depends, I would let it run for an hour or so and then put my hand in there to see how it feels.
If this is brand new, you need to run it for a day without anyone in it. Have you done that yet?
