I have a 14 month old gray squirrel . That is acting slow and wants me to hold him all the time. His testicles have gone back inside of him . He is eating but he feels skinny to me . I AM AFRAID THAT HE HAS ATE SOME PAINT .

Whoa, you need to erase your address from your location. Seriously. :thumbsup
What is his diet like?
Don't worry about the testicles... they do that. :embar

His diet is ALL wrong and needs adjusting.
You said that he may have eaten some paint, can you explain?
What kind of paint and what makes you "think" this.
Also do you have any tums in the house, if so tell us the strength,
with the diet lacking this could be the start of MBD and you will need
to start the MBD protocol.
Are you giving him any sort of squirrel blocks?
Here's the link to the MBD treatment.
Below that is the link to the healthy diet.
Click on the pictures several times to enlarge them.
One other thing, if this is MBD it is very painful.
Do you have infant ibuprophen?
Can you post a picture of your squirrel?
Make sure he stays hydrated.
Running out for a while, hopefully others will chime in. :hug

Poor little guy. Nancy just gave you the very best advice you can get for what likely is a case of Metabolic Bone Diisease. Sad that it's common in captive small mammals. It IS related to diet. Your darling just isn't getting enough calcium so his body leeches it from his bones. End result: brittle bones just like a very old person gets with advanced osteoperosis. Squirrels are like little kids who LOVE foods that are sweet, salty, savory and often do NOT like foods that are good for them. Solution: feed them the good stuff, NOT the bad stuff. Once MBD rears it's ugly head, it takes a long time to fix the problem. Nancy gave you the links for adequate nutrition for a squirrel and the MBD protocol (that needs to be started NOW). Don't be surprised if he doesn't want to eat nutritious foods. He's used to the "McDonalds" foods. You gotta be tough and NO GOODIES for MONTHS! It's reversable but takes time and committment on your part. I'm sure other folks will chime in with good suggestions to get your little guy healthy again.

Ok First Thank You all SOOO much for the advice but I have one more question. Where can I find either a book or dietary guideline for my little guy? Maybe I didn't catch it in one of the comments but I don't see where it says what specifically he should be eating. I need to know what I should be feeding him daily and what I can give him as a treat every so often. Since I obviously have been feeding him all the wrong foods I'd like to know what I should be giving him. I don't know where they get the calcium in the foods from the wild and that's why I ask what I can get him..I just want him back to his old self. I've already cleaned out his cage' given him the Tums and taken care of most of his stash but now I don't have any foods to give him in the meantime so please if someone could answer back sooner we would really appreciate it

There's a nutrition section here with all the foods a healthy NR squirrel should have.

For the short term until you get some HENRY'S HEALTHY BLOCKS, give him dark green lettuce leaves, kale, broccoli and a good quality rodent block--maybe Oxbow Regal Rat or Mazuri until the HHB come (you can get OxBow at your local PetSmart). Really and truely, HHB are the best. They were created just for squirrels. You can order them from Henry's Healthy Pets online. They look like cookies. Everything in the blocks is nutricious and they have nuts in them so once your guy is used to eating them, he'll yum them up. He's lived on junk food his whole life so likely he's going to balk at his new diet. BE STRONG! He won't starve--tho he may be pissed for awhile.

Perfect, here you go.
Did you order the blocks from Henry's?
I would get the picky blocks. Mine always eat those.
Groups 1 and 2 you can feed freely. Group 3 in moderation, and then
the foods to avoid.
These are in addition to a quality block.
Here's a link to the blocks.
