I've heard that squirrels need sunlight in order to survive. But my squirrel, Fall, doesn't seem to want anything to do with the outside world or sunlight (she's more of an indoor condo squirrel hah). I feed her HHB along with fresh fruits and veggies daily but I'm wondering if that isn't enough. I've had her for over a year now and she's doing fine and healthy but I just want to make sure this won't cause any problems later down the road. I was thinking about buying a UV light for her to see if she likes that if sunlight is needed. If it is needed, can I have some recommendations on which brand to buy? Thank you!

The lamps for reptiles - ZooMed is one - are the best. Don't get ripped off buying "full spectrum" lamps like OTT - they have no UV - it is just the color of the bulb.
The sun provides Vitamin D which helps metabolize calcium. It is added to the HHBs so he should be fine without the light. That said, I provide them for my guy - I prefer the tube fluorescents but they also sell them as the small screw in type.
The best pricing I have found is at petmountain.com - look around and don't just walk in to the local pet store - you will pay twice as much there!

I'll do some shopping around then. I'll go ahead and get her one just to have it. Hopefully she'll enjoy it, I don't see why she wouldn't though. Thank you!

Living in a Florida, I have a big Florida room with windows all around that
I have my two nr squirrels cages in..... the blinds in this room is always
open, therefore, my two squirrels, Marven & Lucky, get their sun thru the
windows every day.
