Warm dark and quiet are always the best way to start. The only time that is different is if there is serious head trauma. Can you take a pic and post it?

Dark, warm and quiet for the first hour. Warm compress on the bloody nose...hold him upright to help stop the flow.

I'll call you back in a bit. I can't do anything tonight but if you can bring them up to my job tomorrow I'll take them for you. (My job is about 10 minutes North of you if you remember.)

Keep in warm, quiet place. Cover you cage with a blanket or towel. Place some fleece in your cat carrier.

I would not do much else for now, if you transfer from your old carrier to the new one you mentioned, you could offer some sugerwater in a syringe but I would not force the issue.

Keetz offered to help which is great if you decide not to treat them yourself!

I have the babies. One boy and one girl (Kringle and Jingle). I can't believe we have babies this young at Christmas time! Both babies have been de-bugged, cleaned up and their little wounds fixed up. Kringle most likely bit his tongue or cheek because I can find no injuries on him and he's super active. Jingle had a small scratch on her chest probably from falling the 40'. They're not dehydrated a bit but will get some diluted formula before bedtime.

MBT - I will start a thread tomorrow after work so you can stay updated on their progress. I'll call it Kringle & Jingle and PM you a link when I do it.

:bliss:clapI am SO happy that they are safe with Heather -- awesome fast work, TSB squeeps! I had to run out just as MBT posted, because this time of year it's all choir all the time CM2270 . You all did an amazing job of getting this done! :bowdown :bowdown

I am also shocked that such late babies were born up here in the northeast.....WEIRD. Well, lots and lots of acorns means a third baby season; they always told me that but now I believe it.

Sadly, Jingle didn't make it. I woke up this morning to squirrel cries - like she was calling her Mom - but they were weak. I got her out and she had the dying limpness feel to her and was already doing the labored breathing and couldn't hold her head up very well. I knew this was probably a case of internal injuries so I wrapped her up gently and held her on my chest until she passed around 5:00 a.m.

Kringle is doing well. He still has some dried blood that I'm working on getting out of his nose a little bit at a time. Good news - NO new blood. He's eating between 5-6cc every four hours but I have to go slow with it because he's a little stuffed up from the dried blood. He's active when I have him out and is the best little houdini during feeding that I've ever seen. He's in my kitchen right now so when I start making noise he GRRs very ferociously (ha) at me but is sweet as pie when he's out (unless I'm picking at his nose and then he tries to bite the q-tip).

I'll get some pics and start his thread tomorrow. Time got away with me today...

Gods Speed little Jingle.:(

It is amazing she even surived this long after such a high fall, at least she passed with her brother nearby and in the safety of your arms and home.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Kringle.

Ugh....

I went through this for the first time this year with a little one.
Little one was fine when we picked him up and just 12 hours later he had crashed completely.
The cries for his mom as he knew he was in trouble and feeling bad.
He died within the hour after those cries.
F'n crushed me.
I can still hear it and it makes me tear up still.

You did your best. Sorry.

I'm so sorry to read that little Jingle didn't make it.
At least she passed protected and with love, in your hands.

Rest in Peace
