Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever gave lemon branches minus the thorns to squirrels? Also what about crepe myrtle branches? I have oak and pine here as well as bottle brush but she is getting tired of those. I have a kumquat tree also?

Parrot sites have lots of info on wood because they like to chew it so much. They are also very delicate creatures so anything I see on a bird site that says NO I pay attention to - better safe than sorry.

http://www.birdsafe.com/woods.htm

It lists Citrus as ok.

You may be interested in the toxic wood list from Degutopia. CritterMom gets credit for it, too, though, because she found it and had posted it in response to someone's Q about rats, I believe. It has become my go-to site as I like it much better than the one I previous used. I will also include the ASPCA list although it is based on toxicity to dogs, cats and horses.

Please Note: There are always going to be sites that disagree with each other so you might find one wood listed as safe on one site and the same wood listed as unsafe on another.
