I'm back after a long time maybe some will remember me..
I found this squirrel in the road while it was raining heavily the rain wouldn't stop and it is still raining it's about 4 hrs since I've had it I have a little experience with squirrels it is an Indian Palm squirrel I know I should not give it cow milk and I know I should kept it warm.....

Make sure he is good and warm and that the water you are hydrating with is very warm. Mix one cup of warm water with one tablespoon sugar and a quarter teaspoon salt. Use that to hydrate before feeding. You can then switch to 1 part goats milk, one part full fat yogurt and 1 part heavy cream. You can leave out the heavy cteam for the first day or so until he is used to the different formula.

Oh dear...at three weeks old, he wouldn't have teeth that would hurt you. Can you post a picture of him?

They are more like our chipmunks than our grey squirrels. He could be 8-9 weeks old at that size, and easily able to give a bite!
I would let him be for a little while longer, and he may come around and take some liquids. Do you have any honey? I sometimes add a quarter-teaspoon of honey to a cup of warm water and even the most stubborn squirrels just love it.

I am sure he is frightened. What do you have him in? Be sure to give him soft blankets to hide in and when you pick him up, you need to keep his eyes covered also. It will make him feel less exposed. They are often grabbed by other creatures who eat them so being picked up frightens them a great deal. You want to make him feel as secure as you possibly can. Thank-you so much for trying to help this little one. Can you offer some water with honey in a very low dish? Maybe even the lid of a jar? It might be okay to offer melon or other watery fruits or vegetables?

Wrap him up in the blanket and put drop by drop into his mouth. He needs to be hydrated. If they are dehydrated they don't feel thirsty or hungry so we have to VERY carefully get fluid into him. Be VERY careful not to let him breath in the fluids though.

Great job! Just remember that since he is going so slowly you will need to do it every half hour or so.

Royal Canin is perfect! Give him the fluid for tonight and then you can start the formula in the morning. Do be sure he is drinking the fluid though. He really needs to be well hydrated before he can properly digest food.
