Hey guys, this seems like a silly question but I'm going to ask it anyway. We keep our girls in a large walk in aviary on the back porch with is screened in. (I am treating one of them for MBD and she has a treatment cage indoors) It is supposed to get down to 44 tonight and even colder tomorrow. Will she be okay outside? She has a lots of bedding/cozy cubes/hammocks and stuff and I realize she is a squirrel but I feel like I need to bring her inside....Please help. lol I've attached some pics taken yesterday.265589265590
Thanks in advance,

Oh I love the "squirrel power" pic :klunk adorable :Love_Icon
Yes she will be fine :grin3 especially if she's been out....they acclimate very fast...here where I live it can be in the 70's one day and then in the 40's the next and my squirrels seem to poof out overnight :grin3as long as she's not a baby and has a nestbox she'll be fine :great :Love_Icon

Your welcome and I'm glad they have you looking out for them :Love_Icon at 12 weeks they are good and having more than one is even better, they will keep each other warm if they need to :great

I agree she will be okay at those temps if she has been outside... it has been gradually getting colder all week I believe? Just wanted to clarify that by bedding you mean she has some squares fo fleece or something in her cube? The picture makes her cube look empty, so if she does not have any extra bedding / nesting material in her cube I would provide her some. :thumbsup

Put some extra fleece in their cubby so they can bundle up! They should be fine with temps in the 40s, no problem.

Yes, she has lots of fleece in her cube. :)
She doesn't have her sister out there with her to snuggle with though, still pretty much babying her. :)

This means that the one being treated for MBD is inside, not out, right? That is GOOD. She needs to be in until the treatment is complete and she is 100%.

Exactly. She is inside. We take her outside to larger enclosure to get some exercise and play with her sister several times a day and only when one of us can sit inside with her. She sometimes forgets she can't climb quite as well as Finley does. 😊
