Jasper Just Ate a Tootsie Roll! Should I be Worried?

Little snitch just stole a Tootsie Roll (one of the tiny ones) & ate the whole thing before I could get it away from him! Couldn't even bribe him with a hazelnut! He was not about to trade. So, is there anything I need to do now to make sure he doesn't get sick? Or can I just expect a sugar-buzzed boy to be zinging around the house today? Ugh!

It should only be a buzz. Sammy also has a thing for tootsie rolls. We have to be very careful with them. He doesn't ever eat the whole thing though. We can expect to find a sticky mess somewhere like our SHOE...:shakehead
Possibly some weird poop will come of eating a whole one, but he should be okay overall.

Thanks, Sammysmom! So far Jazzy seems fine--pancaking on top of his cage right now. Zinging around the house the same amount as usual. I tried to bribe him to exchange the Tootsie Roll for a hazelnut, but instead he just grabbed the nut, ate the TR, then chased it with the nut! I swear if he weren't a squirrel, he would be a pig! And thanks to Sammy for "experimenting" with the TR's for me....

Hahahaha! I had a release a few years back. Sweetest little man EVER--but you could NOT eat candy outside. More than once I lost the better part of a Snickers to the little poop. He'd launch a surprise attack and race up to the peak of the roof to devour his prize.

No, Stosh, thankfully it was one of the teeny tiny ones. But I, on the other hand, could be seriously tempted by one that's "squirrel size!"

Sammysmom, I'm a dance teacher in my non-squirrel life, so that video was right up my alley! I think Jazzy & I could both use a little workout to shed some Tootsie Roll pounds.... Of course, I was a ballet dancer, so I doubt I'd look that fly doing a hip hop workout. Might give y'all a good laugh, though!

Yeah, Bravo, it could get ugly. Especially if it goes anything like what just happened with the peanut butter cookie I just had. Almost had to get out the broom! Stuck the cookie down the front of my sweatpants until Jazzy's attention shifted elsewhere.... Bet nobody wants to share it with me now!
