I went this weekend to Petco to get some stuff for Toby since I had to move him into the cage I have. I picked up a hammock there that I'm not real fond of but it was the only option. Toby HATES it! It has soft fabric on one side but the other side makes a crinkle sound when he gets on it and it terrifies him. So that was a bust. Then I bought the wooden "sleep house" for him to sleep in with some soft blankets and he is freaked out by that. We had to turn it upside down and make him a nest in it with his blanket. That works fine. But he has a shelf in his cage that he loves and I took a small baby blanket made of fleece and rigged it up to stay but I don't like having safety pins on the outside of it. So I need something to cover that shelf. I bought this cage from Henry's last year. Anyone know where I can get something like that made?
I need other things for him to help keep him protected from falls or these random seizures. I don't have a sewing machine so it's not like I can do a crash course in sewing 101.

I ordered a cube, fleece hammock, and blankets just a few days after I got Toby. But everyone is so busy lately I'm not sure when he will get that stuff. I just need him to feel comfortable and he loves soft materials. I obviously don't want to pad his entire cage but I gotta do something to help pad it and keep him safe.

I went to the Walmart that's close to me (25 min drive) and they don't have fleece. That's why I keep buying all these baby blankets. Feeling really frustrated that I can't make his new home safe for him without using things that are unsafe for him at the same time.

I can get a box of some things together and ship to see if Toby like them.
They will most likely be used but CLEAN, if he doesn't mind.:grin2
I will look at the Henry cage to see how it's laid out and send stuff that
may work for him.
I don't know why that make that crinkle stuff, the squirrels typically don't care
for that at all, or at least mine don't. :shakehead

That would be awesome. I have been trying to look at things to buy for him but this ferret junk isn't stuff he cares for. I wanted to give him somewhere safe to sleep or hideout but the two things I bought turned out to be his enemy. I assumed since it was new he might not like it right away but it's been in there for days and he's still not used to it.

Toby doesn't mind used stuff and I don't mind paying for it either :grin2 I just want this little guy to have a cozy home and be safe in his environment. Thank you for all your help!
