Found this website that has a lot of squirrels for sale in various states. Not sure the legality of these, but figured TSB would be the best place to get help. Some good info at the very bottom regarding HHBs and FV, but that doesn't always mean anything...

Except for the flyers, this is utterly revolting to me. Flyers don't mind living with humans and seem to enjoy bonding with us. Other squirrels deserve to be free in the trees, or burrowing through the earth, not stuck in a cage for their entire lives, with 20 other animals around (people who buy exotics always seem to have too many of them), barking dogs and a TV blaring......
If this guy was in Florida or Ohio, I could understand how he gets away with this because those states have extremely lax laws about wildlife. I thought Georgia was far more strict. :dono

I emailed and asked the guy in georgia how much he wanted for the Prevost's squirrel baby ....1000$ and he only has one left. I would love to give this baby a fantastic forever home dedicated to only him...as it absolutely cant be released, but I just cant pay that much.....nor do I want to encourage future breeding and sales. At this point though, the happiness and welfare of this and the other babies is whats most important. I wouldnt want him to go to an exotic pet collector or a zoo. It would be nice to get all these babies homes then worry about the breeders later.
I didnt contact the other sellers in the other states because I sure wouldnt ship one of these babies. Could you imagine the terror these babies would feel being shipped across the country. Some of the other squirrels are not priced as high...so maybe some of us from those states can help.
I would donate some funds to help get these babies good homes if there is some one here that can help. I would also help with any squirrel trains.

I also see that some of these animals are being sold as breeding pairs..........I see puppy mills in my mind. They need to be saved from this fate!

Call the Game and Wildlife Commission. What that a-hole is doing is illegal! Of course all the squirrels would likely be euthanized. Can we just hire a hit man?

Yes, dont want them euthanized!!!! So save the squirrels first.... then worry about the breeders!

Contacted about the giant red flyer in Louisiana - no replies. Only 5 giant reds in the US? How did these people get their hands on them... :tap
