....feed Jasper mealworms. I tried, thinking maybe I wasn't offering my picky eater enough protein sources, so I picked up a bag of dried mealworms, & he wanted nothing to do with them. Didn't mind them when they were crunchy & inanimate. So I bit the bullet & got live ones from the pet store. Now, I'm no squeamish girly-girl--I grew up in the country where we played outside with critters like snakes, toads, mice, & worms--but I can't tell you how relieved I was when Jazzy turned up his nose after biting into 3 of those disgusting ugly buglies! Yuck! Happy he still eats the occasional monkey biscuit for protein--at least those don't crawl away of their own accord! I'm getting a serious case of the willies just writing about this. Guess we don't have to worry about me ever owning any reptiles. Blech!!!
