I've been doing a lot of reading today in numerous threads and Google searching and it seems that the average weight for a 7 week eastern grey should be 250 grams or more. Was wondering how accurate this is. Binx is close to 8 weeks now and she is literally half that size. She eats every 5-6 hours and takes in 7cc's. She wants more but her stomach is so tight by the time she gets the 7cc's down, I'm scared to let her have more then that. She also gets a Henry's block that she shreds more then eats right now. I'm wondering if I should be giving her anything else to help her get to the ideal weight or should we keep doing what we are doing? She eats, plays, sleeps, etc all very well. I also still have to stimulate her to go potty. She doesn't even try to go on her own yet....is this normal? I may be a tag paranoid but just want to make sure I'm doing everything I am suppose to be doing with her, lol. Here is a pic of her about 5 days ago. She is 150 grams as of this morning.

I would say you baby is not getting near enough to eat. The rule of thumb is 5% - 7% of body weight, so a 150gram squirrel should be getting between 7.5ml to 10.5ml. So your baby is not getting what is the "minimum" under the general guidelines. Were you also feeding every 4 hours when she was 5 weeks and every 5 hours at 6 weeks old?

At 5 weeks we were doing every 3 to 4 hours and then switched to 4 to 5 at 6 weeks and then went to 5 to 6

In that case you are feeding right in the range, which for a 125gram squirrel would be 6.25ml - 8.75ml. But she is about the size of a 5 week old, so anything extra you can do would be helpful! Maybe stick to an every 5 hour schedule, add some extra fat into her formula (are you using Esbilac or FV?) in the way of full fat yogurt. Avocado has a lot of fat too.
Edit: Avocado skins and pits should not be given to squirrels as they are toxic. Offer only the "meat" of the avocado.

Could she have opened her eyes a week earlier? That would put her almost at ideal weight. It would still he on the low side though.

I have the full fat on hand. Just wasn't sure how much to add to her F/V. It's the 20/50. Should I try the avocado with her not fully eating her blocks yet?
