Hi everyone..... it's Rhapsody
I currently have two set of squirrels (3 - 3.5 mths old & 4 - 2 mths old) that I am needing to place in another rehabbers care to finish up their growth process before they are released.
It saddens me that I am unable to complete the task I embarked on, but due to my health once again taking a dip and my own personal life issues I am needing to step back and take matters slow for a while.
If you know anyone in or around the Lakeland area that can help me out, please don't hesitate to send me a pm for contact information.
Thank you,
Carolyn -

I understand...... and trust me I have put off making this very difficult transition for several months now, my heart is torn, but what can one do when the body refuses to allow you the ability to follow your hearts desire any longer - lately there are days its hard for me to get around or muster up an ounce of energy, let alone care for my beloved fur babies. :( :(

If I could get some one to take the older set of squirrels
for me right now I could handle the younger ones until
some one else comes alone.

UPDATE:
I have decided to go ahead and place the older set out in the release cage this weekend and get them ready for an early release at the end of the month. The three squirrels will be 4.2 month old by then, a little younger than I usually release them at, but with it being Florida and me supplementing their food I feel they will do fine. I generally release all my squirrels at five months old, so I don't think the few weeks difference will hurt to much --and they are feisty as ever.
I am still looking for someone to take two of the three squirrels I have left in the second set....... the brother sister set is 2.5 months old and will probably need to be over Wintered. I will do my best to keep the smallest female that is just coming up on two months old. I think I can handle one squirrel that is drinking formula twice a day and eating food -- my weaning off squirrel.
Thanks,
Carolyn - :Love_Icon

Not sure what happened, but I never heard from the lady that was to take the squirrels, so
I went ahead and put the older set outside to start their soft release and I am glad to say
they were set FREE this past weekend..... one of the three squirrels has decided to stay around
the release cage and is guarding his territory with all his little squirrel body has in him --too cute.
I will place the the second set (and last set) of squirrels out side in their release cage after the other
little guy decides to move on to greener pasture or in lue of a nice looking female squirrel.
After this last set of three squirrels is released then I will be retiring from the Rehab/Rescue circle
for a while........ at least a good year. I will come online still and help where I can. Love You All.
