I am hoping that someone can advise me on the care of a crow. I have and do rehabilitate and release birds for a living, but have never done so with a crow.
Here's the story behind my receiving of this crow. Drove past a him while he was eating roadkill and noticed he didn't fly away, so I turned around to go back and check on it. It was still there and hobbled away instead of flying off. I was able to pick him up and brought him straight home. I checked for injuries and there appear to be none. I gave him 24hrs. and offered him water. He drank it. I offered him bananas and walnuts and he has been picking at them. He does try to flutter and flap away but he seems a bit staggered. Not sure of age or sex. Appears to be young, maybe over a year old. I have had him for roughly 48 hours. Any advise on the care?

He needs veterinary care, something is seriously wrong if you can actually catch a crow.
Please get him to a rehabber who works with a vet.
Could be a million things, fecal, blood work and X-rays are needed

Please listen to PsychoBird she is an expert especially on Crows. You can't sex a Crow from what I'm told, at least I nor my vets can :) You need a workup. The one crow I was able to pickup had been shot and his wing was damaged, he ended up being put to sleep as the injury was too advanced and he had gangrene.
As for food, you need meal worms, baby mice, baby chicks, along with the fruits and veggies. They are super duper SLOBS and enjoy flinging guts everywhere. If you do keep him, be prepared for a lot of work.
So can you get him to a vet?

Thank you for your advice pyshcobird. It took a turn for the worst so I rushed him to the nearest bird wildlife rehabilitating center. They will do what they can and hopefully it can be released.

This time of year West Nile virus is always a possibility, they go down very quickly and the only hope is force feeding and very high doses of anti inflamitorys to fight the encephalitis.
They usually come in too late
