View Full Version : My squirrel keeps making this same noise, what does it mean?

he's only 5 weeks old now
He makes that noise when I rub him or play with him and I don't know if he's annoyed or playing.

Thanks for letting me know, I had a sense it was that. It's such a cute noise. Too bad it means something bad.

Yes they were, as soon as my squirrel makes that noise, I usually put him to bed and he crawls into his blanket. He never seems interested in playing, only eating and sleeping. I hope he's alright. his tail is almost fully developed. I am trying to train him not to climb me, but it seems like an auto instinct for him to do so.

He climbs you because you're a tree: you're vertical and taller than he is. All of his squirrel instincts tell him to go UP UP UP, so he will always climb you, the furniture, curtains, etc. He was born to live in the trees.
