Hello squirrel friends. Earlier tonight it had been about 2 hours since I'd stepped out onto my patio to destroy my lungs. So sometime between 11 and 1 someone dropped off a container on my patio that had "Save Me" written on it. I gathered it up to find a baby squirrel. Now I don't know every single one of my neighbors but I'm assuming it was one I don't know well but somehow knows about that crazy squirrel lady who lives at my house. I assume that because they just dropped it off no phone call, text, email, facebook, doorbell or knock. Anyone who knows me even the slightest knows if it's a baby I don't care what time it is ,wake me for a baby situation. Maybe because it was a little late or whatever. So I bring him in immediately and bust out the heating pad and set to warming him. While switching him to a different container with fleece and the heating pad I quickly gave him a once over and weighed him. He was so freaking cold though that I waited til later to give him a more extensive examination. So he took some hydration like a pro:bliss and peed when stimulated. His skin is so dry and scaly-ish. You can see it in the pics. What can I put on his dry skin? Oh yeah he weighs 20 grams.
Also, very important. I don't really have time to care for a pinky who has to be fed as often as this baby. I'm guessing he's around a week old. As you can see in the pics he has a tiny black spot left where his umbilical cord was. If anyone in my area has time for a baby of this age please let me know. I am off work tomorrow so I can care for him as much as needed, but I really do need to find a home for him. Any help is greatly appreciated yall.
Those are not poos on the blue fleece it's fuzz from other fleece.
I have some esbilac with pre and pros what ratio should I mix it when I first try to give him some? It's been a long time since I had a baby this young.

Well thank Creator for the "crazy squirrel lady!" :clap
Poor sweetie looks like he's a little sun burnt. :(
You can use a light coating of A&D ointment, neosporin, even SS cream if you have it.
As long as he's hydrated (pictures appear like he's still a little under) I would begin the
formula at 3-1 for several feeding to make sure he's adjusting to it and his "output" is stable.

Got your message NINY, thanks for contacting me.
Kelly is shut down for the rest of the year with work, I'm taking one from her this morning. I am overloaded but did tell Delo I would take this one for her until I can find someone.

Judi helped me hook up with Kkatt and she just came to pick him up. So Ms. KKatt now has a baby to raise with her Lilo. Simply amazing the help I get from all yall squirrel peeps. I'm so glad this worked out.
I wanted to raise him but we just don't have that time right now. I know he will be loved and well cared for.
I am still on a mission to find out who brought the baby to me so I can find out if there are anymore babies. There's always hope.
Tree trimmers are at my house now. You can bet I'm all up the a$$e$ to make sure they aren't cutting down dreys.
