Summer Heat and a Baby?

Its nearing 100 degrees where I'm at and I'm worried for my baby's health. She's still eating, and acting normal, and there are no problems to report but I want to be sure to avoid any issues that are avoidable.

She opened her eyes this past saturday, so she's between 5-6 weeks of age right now. I know they can't regulate their temperatures too good.. How can I be sure she stays cool/doesn't wind up over heated. I don't have an AC at my house, so normally I leave me box fan on low for her so she gets a breeze. But her cage has a fleece blanket to curl into for warmth, with a rice buddy thats not warm, and a hammock I made out of a tee shirt. She has options.

I recently gave her some Pedialyte for extra hydration too. Just looking for some pointers :)

Sounds like you got the basics covered. It's good to offer extra hydration but I would go with a water hydration with just a little honey or sugar for flavoring. She don't need the salt that's in the pedalyte. I don't see you having too much of a problem with a 5-6 week old as long as the surrounding air moves but if the heat gets too oppressive and she appears uncomfortable you could always put an ice pack partly under her blanket. I have done this with outside releases but I put
the ice in flat type tins, they lay on them to cool off. Even after the ice melts the tins stay cool for a pretty long time.

Well, she crawls around the cage and lies awkwardly (tummy up, sprawled out). I'm sure she's just keeping cool but I wanna be sure she's okay lol
