Hi, guys!

I'm excited to have become a member of the Ohio Wildlife Rehabilitators Organization today, which is my first tiny step toward getting my rehabber's license! Membership will make the wildlife conference & training course that I have to take to get my license cheaper, but I can't register for any of that until Sept 15, so this'll have to do for now. I recently lost my baby Ulysses, a little 5-wk old foxer, to pneumonia, but I'm making his short life count by using my love for him as a motivator to do something good for other babies who need human help to survive. Can't wait till November, when I can spend the weekend hobnobbing with & learning from experts (like many of you!) in this field! My heart is already there.....just gotta get the knowledge that'll make me more effective, and LEGAL!

FYI, Ulysses was my 4th squirrel--it started with Timmi back when I was 12, & there were always critters of various kinds in & out of this country girl's life! Looking forward to doing it on purpose & with a clue!

Well, haven't accomplished anything yet, but I've done what I can for the moment. In 3 days I can register for the training! Can't wait! Thanks guys.
