I've been letting my babies out of their cage off and on during the day. One to my girls seems to want to chew on the outside edge of the cage. She even tried chewing the pendent on my necklace. Was wondering if there might be a cause and what I can do to stop it?

They do need to chew to keep their teeth filed down...
Are you providing items for them to chew on? Fresh branches,
antler pieces, sea shells, wood blocks, can all be beneficial.

They have quite a few branches, a parrot toy ( 4, 1½" rings connected) an antler and a dog teething toy, can post pics of the stuff it that would help, but she still insist on chewing the metal. Not sure why nor how to stop her from doing it. I don't want her to mess up her teeth.

I have an adult that was chewing on the metal of her cage but just on the one corner.
I yell no! and she runs away long enough for me to turn my back.
I've taken to lightly spraying a diluted vinegar on it every time I catch her chewing.
She has gone back to it once thoroughly dry and I spray again.
I should knock on wood but I think she's finally given up....
