I swear my first squirrel never poo-ed. After I fed him I would do the warm water thing on belly and genitals and rectum and nothing. Now and again I would see a tine speck of brown in his cage. I was very worried cauuse my research said to make sure he was pooping. He never swelled and grew and is 2.8 years old now... so I guess he was pooping and I just never saw it.

Now the little girl I rescued had dark brown poo pellets a lot in her cage when I got her and she was eating the Tomlyn Whey puppy powder, then I switched to Esbilac and her poo comes out like a pellet but a light brown and this concerns me, but there are quite a few dark brown poo's in the cage. Are they turning brown later or does she just poo light right after a feeding and later poo dark... Confuse over my squirrels poo.

The formula they are eating have a lot to do with color variations
It does tend to get darker as it dries out.
Your getting "pellet" :poop, it's not diarrhea, your good.
