Not even home yet but I have been informed that a friend has left me a baby grey ( has fur and eyes open) that she found in the road yesterday. She thinks one if rear legs is broken. It also has open wounds on the same leg , and it's tail. She has been feeding it Esbilac since yesterday; says it's taking about 3 cc per feeding. All I know so far, on way home now. For tonight, are there any animal or human analgesics or antibiotics I can give it until I can get it a proper check up tomorrow? And what will Snickers think of his critter if it becomes a permanent cripple that could not be released?

Analgesics... Infant Ibuprofen.

Antibiotics... I think that depends on what you have on hand?

Maggots... Capstar.

I have childrens Motrin ; how many milligrams would an approx 6-8 week baby need? Maybe I could calculate from the childrens strength (I think is 200 mg per tsp)

The dosing is by weight and infants ibuprofen is 50mg per 1.25ml which would be the same as 200mg per 5ml (tsp). Can you confirm the concentration of the ibuprofen you have and a weight on the squirrel?

And she has the " new" puppy Esbilac powder- is it one scoop powder to two scoops water if I remember correctly?
