I have a 7/8 week old baby. He's starting to show interest in solid foods. He's eating his rodent block and I have some henrys baby protein blocks on the way. As solid food goes wheN and what should I introduce. Also should he have a water bottle in his little home or should I wait on it? I know he needs formula until 10 weeks or he weabs himself. Finally, what kind of chew toys or any toys in general can I give him? He has a stuffed animal right now and a mineral treat but that's about it. I kind of want to give him more objects to keep him entertained. Thank you for your help! :)

Once he is eating his block, then you can start introducing the food form the healthy diet list. But he gets blocks first every day and everything else only after he eats his Henry blocks. Here is a link to the healthy diet list:

Yes, give him a water bottle.
I know he needs formula until 10 weeks or he weabs himself.
Do not wean him, let him eat formula for as long as he wants, these guys without mom need all the help they can get and formula is great for them. Even after he stops taking from a syringe, try offering in a shallow dish.

Little stuffy toys (no buttons or beans, or other things that can be choked on). Tree branches form the healthy tree list... now is a perfect time to introduce those. :thumbsup

I have a question. After they re eating the blocks should I still give the formula by weight and how often?

Once they start eating more and more solids, they will take less formula less frequently. I continue to offer the formula as they start eating solids, staying the same schedule but start to go longer in between as they start not taking what is offered. And even when they are not taking the formula all day long, I wake them up 30 minutes after they doze off and offer formula... they usually take it as a bedtime snack like this for a week or more (even if they are not taking it any other time!).
You can even put some in a shallow dish in their cage and see if they will take it that way (after they stop taking from the syringe).
