We are taking care of 4 little ones currently. All ranging between the 40 and 50 gram weight. Eyes closed still.

All 4 seem to be doing well.
I worry about one though because her poop is miscolored compared to the rest.
She has spoop ranging from black to brown.
Its solid and she's acting fine but I cannot figure out why her pop would be a different color than the rest.
We use Esbilac with Probiotics and all our little ones have the yellow pellets while they are on that.
This is the only one ever that's had this issue.

See below. Anything I should be concerned about or do?

Normal poop is on the right. The miscolored is on the left

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

How long have you had them and are they all related?

I ask cause I have babies that do this too. I usually just keep an eye on it and make sure I'm feeding in the 5-7% BW range. The ones that are related seem to have similar poops to each other, while the adopted sibling may have a slightly different color.

Usually it normalizes in a week or so. Some of mine always have just a slightly different color than one of the others. But if you have had this one for 3/4 weeks then.. You might consider some de wormer JIC. But I suspect she is still just adjusting to the formula.

What I see in the picture does not concern me for her wellbeing.

That said.. I have only had 20 + squees and someone else with more experience will chime in here :)

They are all related.
I've never had any of the ones we've raised have a different color than the yellow from using Esbilac.
That's why this is perplexing to me.
We've only raised 8 though which is why I reached out to see if anyone has experienced similar.

Hopefully it's nothing.

I would not be concerned. I have one baby right now whose poop is a very very dark orange/brown and always has been. Everyone else's is Esbilac golden. Last season I had a little female black squirrel whose poop was always dark brown, even when she only took in formula and long before she ate any solids. I was worried that she had bleeding somewhere, or something, but she was fine.

Thank you Island.

Internal bleeding is exactly what was worrying me.

Good to know you have seen this before.
Appreciate it.

She is adorable, my favorite one out of the 4 and the only one I had named so far so that added to the worry. :grin2
