My new release came home after being gone for two days,
and now he has an injured front paw. Can someone please
dose Metacam 0.5 ml for a 330 gram squirrel in pain?

Thank you,
Carolyn -

Oh, I'm sorry, I hate hearing about injuries. I hope he heals quickly. :grouphug:grouphug

Thank you...... he is inside with me atm. He has been feed, given wate to and is now resting all cuddled up in my arms and the comfy sweater I am wearing just for him to sleep in.

hang in there...

Is this .5 mg/ml?
If so, the amount will be 3 times higher than what the book shows which is 0.066, so your dose will be
0.198 or I would go to 0.2 mls

Remember this is the loading dose, so after this you will break the amount in half, 0.1 mls
Dose once daily.
If you have Tramadol, you can dose that with the metacam.

Thanks Russell! :hug

Thanks Nancy....... sorry I am late to reply, but I snuggled with the little guy and we both feel asleep together.
