Tree cutters didn't realize a nest and down came baby squirrels with nest. No more tree. Anyone in the Valrico FL area that can help?

Can you try to reunite with momma after cutters are gone?
Dark, warm and quiet for now...
Unsure of your area, we have many members in Fla.
Keep checking, someone very possibly can help.
I moved your post to Emergency for best exposure.
Edit: Please do not double post, it is counter productive for receiving replies...

Thank you. They are in a blue recycle bin with original nest and hay with an umbrella over it. They are in a bush that was around the tree. No one has seen the Mom and they don't want any cats killing them. They are not on the ground so they are away from ants.
I have a squirrel so of course I am the first one everyone calls!

Sorry. After posting didn't know if it would be considered an emergency. So posted in rehab area.

Mom may view that set up as a trap and will not enter it. How long have those babies been out there like that? If no mom is around they need to be brought in and hydrated. This heat will dehydrate them in no time!
Can you retrieve them while waiting for responses, I'm pretty sure there will be help when our Fla readers come on and see this...

Thank you for reaching out Pepper!
We spoke on the phone and she is going to head over there to pick them up (its been raining all day/flooding, etc) and we will pick up from her tonight.
A few days ago we picked up 3 2-week old babies from Cesta/Brandon ER Vet so we can possibly put them tonight after a few days of evaluation.

I have picked them up and they are in my care. They have already been fed and seem to be healthy. Very vocal! 4 little ones. They were in a secluded bush that was around the tree that was cut down and they took the umbrella off and had them in their nest so mom could come and had been watching them but she never showed. They are very kind people and took care of them.
I will wait for a pick up time and will meet PeeWee's Mom with the hand off.

What have we gotten ourselves into. LOL.
Going to be a VERY long night.

Hi Ashley.
I saw the thread about the baby squirrel you found and it not making it.
Very sorry about that. These little guys can really burrow into your heart once you've been introduced so I get why you feel the way you do. That said, the little guys from Valrico have a well laid out plan for their growth and release at a heavily wooded and remote area over here near Tampa that gives them a great chance at a long life in the wild.
There are always opportunities that come up for people to help as babies seem to find lots of trouble on their own or because of humans! Use your new found love of squirrels and dive into some of the information threads on here so when another little one in your area may need help you are very ready!
Again, I'm sorry your first experience did not work out well but stick around and you'll have another opportunity pop up!
Welcome to the board!

I have posted an update on these 4.
Happy to say all 4 were released and are happily jumping through the trees in a great release site north of Tampa!
You can see their update at the link below!
