i have little to no experience with poisoning, but what i know (and have used once) to use in case of ingested "bad" stuff - activated charcoal.
as far as I remember what I did - got activated charcoal, it came in capsules - emptied capsules: added a teeny drop of water to this charcoal powder and force-fed with a syringe.
As to how many capsules - I do not remember, unfortunately.
I think, Wild Mammals Babies book has a recommendation.
But you could start by getting activated charcoal.
Also, just recently stepnstone dealt with poisonoing, and was given K factor.
Experts will be on soon.

where do i get this????
astra

this is what Tube Driver posted in stepnstone's thread for K Factor (can be found in health food stores):
1.1mg/kg oral K1, 2x day for 5 days should be safe.
3-5mg/kg split to 2x per day is standard to treat poisoning.
In dogs, doses can be as high as 5mg/kg for 30 days.
Later generations of toxins can require K1 treatment for weeks.

for now:
keep pushing fluids
get activated charcoal, empty a couple of capsules, add some water and feed with a syringe
look for k1 factor in health food stores.
get charcoal asap, b/c it should be administered within 2-3hr of ingestion.
keep checking this thread for more suggestions. People more experienced with poisoning might be able to post more precise recommendations.

Ok, first, you need to calm down. She's going to sense your anxiety which will give you a false sense of her behavior.
Next, what kind of medication did she eat? What is the name of it and what's the strength?
Activated charcoal is for poisoning and it is normally available at most pharmacies.
Vit K is for poisons that cause hemoraghing...such as rat poison.
I believe you said it was a sedative type drug...you need to flush her system with as many fluids as possible. And, you're in Florida so your availability to vet care is awesome. Do you have a vet?
Hang tight, try to be calm and collected. Getting this to pass though her system is going to take awhile...most likely several hours if not all day.
We are here with you and will do our best to advise.:grouphug

im afraid shes going to fall asleep soon
as far as I understand from human experience, in case of large doses you do not want her to fall asleep, at least in the beginning.
Get all the charcoal and give her.
Keep her awake at least within the next hour if possible, keep pushing fluids.

Please stay calm.. You can usually get the activated charcoal pills from your local phramacy. fluids fluids fluids. If your squirrel is vomiting push more fluids. if you can please post pics and as many updates as possible

What medicine and what is the strength? You should be pushing fluids -- water with a drop of fruit juice for taste would be best. Activated charcoal may help but you need to do it RIGHT NOW.

What is the drug?
That is very important.
Just because he consumed the pill does not mean it is lethal.
Sometimes the lethal dose (LD50) is huge.
#1 what drug
#2 look up LD50 for the drug
#3 how much drug (mg) did he consume?
#4 from this info you can determine the amount that is lethal. It is usually a huge amount.

where do i get this????
Yes, pharmacies. No need to reply to this message.
Getting activated charcoal fast:
Consider sending an email/text out to everyone who knows you have a squirrel and tell them you need activated charcoal and it's an emergency. Can anyone bring some to you asap... Or call pharmacies to check to see if it's in stock and if so, can they hold some at the counter for you so you can get it quickly because you have an emergency.
IF YOU ARE CONFUSED, ERR ON THE SIDE OF GETTING ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FAST, read how many mg are in each tablet so you can follow instructions, mix with water (or what the rehabs on here recommend), and provide to squirrel. --- I am new, so experts, feel free to override this. (I am posting this because the people I have known who have anxiety sometimes get confused in very stressful situations. I am NOT saying that's the case here with OP. Just trying to help!)
Do NOT use K1
TubeDriver

Yes, Do not take K1 for this. K1 is used to deal with clotting issues caused by rat poison.
What is the name and dose of the medication? How much did he eat?

OP is in Fresno, California. If anyone wants to help call pharmacies to see who has some in stock, https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=fresno+california+pharmacy
BK Pharmacy (F) doesn't have it.
Bullard Pharmacy (D) - HAS IT in the pharmacy. Can you get there?

Oh Jeez! I saw the "f" in Fresno and immediately thought Florida. :hidechair
Sorry about my Florida vet comment. Guess I need to start wearing my glasses.

This is correct, charcoal is what's needed here.
Vit K is used to restore blood clotting properties when
a anti-coagulant poison/rodenticide is suspect.

Good advice here and in above posts, SM. Let us know how it's going, and you can do a lot for your little one by remaining as calm as possible.

OK, so i dont have a car, to go to the pharmacy, but i have been feeding her crackers, and fruit, and she just keeps on eating! amazing how much she can eat, she did bite me,which she never does, silly me, tried to give her a syringe while eating a cracker, obviously i wasnt thinking, i know to never try to take away a squirrels food ,....so what she possible got was propananol, which is a blood pressure medication, and a 25 mg seraquel..i dropped a couple earlier, and didnt pick it up, and i had her in my room with me, over in that area, also, silly me, but shes so small, i am trying to keep her awake, and she just keeps on eating, which is a good thing, im feeling calmer, this happend at i think, nine or so? so she's fine so far, i just dont know what i'de do if i lost her, my husband actually makes fun of me, so she's my baby! anyway, thank you for all the comments, i will keep you posted :)

Can your husband pick up the activated charcoal? If he's at work in an office job, a family emergency would be a good reason to leave for an hour or so and he could make up the time later. The other option I can think of is a courier service, https://www.google.com/search?sclient=psy-ab&site=&source=hp&btnG=Search&q=fresno+california+courier+service The activated charcoal itself should only cost you around $16, per my earlier call.

For the charcoal to be of any benefit it would have needed to be given within 2-3 hours of ingestion.
With the time span that's already past it's unlikely there is any repercussions.
I suspect he may have chewed on the pill(s) without actually ingesting any.

so its too late for the charcoal now? she is very lathargic, just laying on my chest, should i still be feeding her? i swear she can eat SO much, i dont know where she can put it...with the blood pressure medicine, i dont want it to slow her heart beat down to nothing!

As long as it has been at this point, I would think you are likely okay. Personally, I would move every single thing that is in the area where the pill dropped and see if you find that pill.
We just recently had an accident with a whole bottle of Advil liquid gelcaps dropping onto the kitchen floor. I told my husband that there will be NO MORE medicine anywhere in the house except the bathroom. These accidents are just too scary. I am very hopeful that she will be okay, but would let her eat if that is what she wants to do and hope that maybe it is diluting the med in her tummy.
Remember, no more meds anywhere in the house except the bathroom and NO squirrels EVER in the bathroom.

Keep pushing the fluids too, it can't hurt.
AND if she will let you stimulate her like you did when she was a baby that
will help flush them out faster.
Is she typically a sleeper through the day?
Great post SammysMom! :thumbsup
