1 year old male squirrel bit by cat

I have a 11 month old male squirrel healthy as can be. He hates cats and got in a fight last night. Could only see a scratch but this morning his right side of face swollen he clearly doesn't feel well. I'm a vet tech so I'm at work now we are going to clip and clean possibly flush if needed. I just need antibiotic doses. I have infant motrin 50mg/ml tramadol 50mg metacam 1.5mg/ml for pain what do you wise people recommend please? Antibiotics I have everything so what works better sulfa method a some/trimethoprim 200mg/40mg/5ml ciprofloxacin 500mg baytril 22.7mg? What does everyone have best luck with? His weight is 1000 grams, 0.94kgs. Lil Wayne and I thank you.

Baytril is the preferred med for cat bites. What is his weight?

I'm not a rehabber, but have been around these forums for quite a while and have a 5 year old disabled squirrel I care for. Normally Baytril is recommended. At 1000g, the dose for injectable at 22.7mg/ml, .4 ml. This is the total daily dose. Most usually dose this by mouth and split that dose up to twice per day. Per the WMBB, 3 - 5 day is the usual treatment for cat bite. The dosage range is 2.5 to 15mg/kg.

I can crush a tablet of 22.7mg baytril it's flavored I have orbax orbifloxacin liquid 39mg/ml veraflox pradofloxacin liquid 25mg/ml cipro 500mg I want to give as little as possible at a time that won't burn his throat. Also he's pretty bruised up I would like to give him pain med is motrin enough? Thanks
