About 5 weeks old. Just got them last night. They are nibbling on hard cat food as that's what the person who found them was giving them. So my question is, while I'm waiting for my formula from fox valley what is best to give them now? I've read kmr, esbilac, and a few others. Yogurt mixed in like I used to do with my squirrel babies? I'm heading out for supplies soon.

Now this is funny, did you get them from West Haven? I am in New Haven.

Yes, I did. She said she couldn't find anyone to take them. i figured since I've done squirrels, birds and mice...skunks were only a matter of time. I figured out the formula and they ate like pigs.

Are you in rehabbers corner on Facebook? I was the one who offered to transport but couldn't take myself. What part of Connecticut are you from

No I am not in that on fb, actually didn't even know anyone had started any sort of page for it. I'm actually close to new haven, that's why I drove down to get these guys.

I am so happy to have someone else from CT here! There are a few of us now. For a while I think I was about the only one. Good to know you do all small mammals too. Do you have a good release site? That is my only rehabbing issue is the lack of a place to release all of them.:tap

May I ask What is involved with becoming a rehab person? How would I go about doing this?

Thank you

I live in a quiet wooded area which is awesome! My back yard is up against land locked property and then water company property so it's just woods and woods and woods! Plus I have a stream that runs thru so it's a perfect release site. Sammiesmom if you ever need a place to release you're more then welcome too. My neighbors on both sides are also very cool with my weird animal habits, lol. They dont mind seeing me outside feeding the wild skunks or opossums or anything else that makes its way to my house.

Okay, this is getting funnier. Did you take 4 squirrels from Gayle in New Haven this spring? The "Charlie Brown" group

I forgot to say THANK-YOU for the offer of a release site! How far are you from New Haven and do you have a release cage?

I'm about 15-20 minutes away from new haven. I have a bunch of cages that can easily be moved to the bottom of my yard at the edge of the woods.
