Yesterday morning I found a injured baby squirrel in my backyard. It's back legs are completely useless to him or her. He or She is full of energy and I don't think it realizes that it cannot use it's legs, she talks alot but is of course, scared, but I knew if I left it in the backyard it would have been lunch meat to some cat or dog out there. I think she is beyond the weaning stage because she was eating sunflower seeds when I found her. I need to know if anyone knows of a facility that will take her or if I should release her and let nature take its course. I am willing to keep it and try to keep it and care for it, but I don't know if that is the right thing to do. I can't believe I have been feeding "my" squirrels for 15 years and I joined a squirrel forum to find help. I hope someone out there can help us fiqure out what to do. :)thankyou

Sophia, I'm not sure what happened to the little squirrel. Could it have been injured in a fall? What else can you tell me about the way it behaves/looks? Any blood anywhere?
