She was doing just yesterday, but when I went to check on her this morning, I thought she was dead. She was laying on one side, not moving. I went to pick her up, but then she started squirming and moving, flipping over to the side, getting no where. It seems like she cant use her front legs? But there is nothing that could have caused that. I have her in a protective cage with water and food. Please help ASAP
Thanks

Good Morning Squatchy's ma, can you rub a drop or two of some syrup on the Lil' Ones gums, this could help boost the blood sugar level, any syrup will do pancake, karo, or molasses.
I'm sure some better advice will follow shortly, please stay online.

:grouphug Bless Your Wonderful Heart Squatchy's ma, Lil' Bun's are very fragile from what I have read, you allowed this Baby to pass warm and dry, no one could have done anything more than what you have.:Love_Icon

I am so sorry. Bunnies are horrendously difficult to rehab. They panic easily and as awful an idea as this is, they have evolved to die very quickly and easily because of their spot at the bottom of the food chain. I have read awful things here - Eyes closed babies raised to the day before release successfully that panic in their enclosure and break their backs and die... Success is something to be cheered, not expected.
I am sorry. They are so sweet and innocent it is impossible to not fall in love.

:sadness So sorry to hear this Squatchy's Mom. Bunnies are hard to rehab. They are just so darn cute you can't resist trying. It's heart breaking when they are so easily lost. Thank you for trying and keeping bunny safe and warm and fed.
Bravo

:grouphug I'm so sorry. But in all honesty, not surprised. Please don't beat yourself up over this... buns are just the worst rescues.

When I started rehabbing bunnies I was mentored by someone I consider to be a Bunny God (she'll deny it though). The very best thing she ever told me....."Bunnies love to die and they are great at it. For no apparent rhyme or reason they just up and die." I know this sounds harsh, but I swear to you, it's the truth.
I've had them die sitting up eating hay....
What I am trying to say...the death of this little one may or may not have had anything to do with anything you did or didn't do. Bunnies are just kinda like that.
As long as you've gotten good advice for raising them and the others seem to be doing well, carry on as usual and try not to freak out that one died.
