Hopefully this was the right category to put this in...
So we have a problem. My husband is having a reaction to something and originally we thought it was our squirrel but now I'm starting to break out itching and get bites as well. We think we have some bugs we can't see and really would like to do a bug bomb but obviously we are worried about Chrysanthemum. I know everyone has to leave our place for a while but I also know how sensitive they are. Is this even safe for her? If so, is one brand better or worse to use around squirrels? I can't possibly be the only one on here who's had to do this. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

No they are not safe for her and she should not be in the house when it is set off. I discussed this at length with my exterminator a few years ago. ALL living breathing things (except for those you're tying to kill) need to be out of the house for a few hours. My guy suggested 4-6 hours minimum.

MM is right on. A squirrel with much smaller body, faster respiration and heartbeat is probably more likely to get sick from that stuff than a person.

Empty the house of everyone (including all pets) before setting off a bugbomb.

You can treat your squirrel with Revolution if you think she has some mites or fleas or some type of infestation.

Oh no, I'm sorry I guess I wasn't clear. When I meant everyone would have to leave I meant her as well. She is part of our little family! I was just making sure it was okay to use one. I don't know about the after effects of them and wanted to make sure that she could return when we do.

I would remove all bedding, dishes and toys and such from her cage and cover it.
Replace everything clean once returned.
