Groucho came to us during the blizzard of December after hanging by a leg from a bird feeder. He lost the lower half of his right hind leg but otherwise has fully recovered and manages to get around in his "house" very well - He is also getting a little stir crazy - what are the chances of his survival back in the wild? Thanks, Karen

I wouldn't release him like that. The hind legs are very important for climbing down trees and he would have difficulty with that. Maybe a cage outside if possible, but that would be as far outside as I would let him go.

:)Very Good Point Steve, healthy Squirrels already have a tough time in the wild, being this compromised would certainly make him more vulnerable to predator's.:sadness
