I got a gram scale very happy! My Elley weighs 81 grams she is 4 weeks old. Now i need to figure out how many grams per day she should gain? How many times a day should i weigh her? What is the average/normal weigh gain in a baby squirrel? Off subject question... When she open eyes do i automatically say shes five weeks? My Elley is now peeing better and pooping good like always. I noticed today that my Elley when she crawls/scoots is more using back legs with her bottom more up in the air. I dont no if that is good or if it is bad she hold v her head up good but shes clumbsy which is understandable because her eyes are not open yet...if this is a good thing does that mean because she might be learning how to walk that her eyes are going to open soon? Just cant wait for them to. I want to release when shes older i v think its 17 weeks but gow do i no when shes really ready i want her to be safe but live her life as a squirrel! Sorry so many questions

I've got 2 girls a couple days past 4 weeks, and you're probably right on with Elleys age, based on what you say shes doing. Mine are 85gm & 74gm and they just started walking with their back ends up a couple days ago. They've been gaining 2-3grams a day. I usually just weigh once a day, before their 2nd feed which is mid-morning. And yes, their eyes look like they're about to pop open any day now. Five weeks is the norm, but it can be a few days either side of 5 weeks too. They have bottom teeth, but so far nothing on the top.:thumbsup

:)You received some very good info Ms. Leigh, (I had to take my scale back to the store before I found the button on the bottom that switch's between grams and ounces,):facepalm

Yes she has bottom teeth no top ones yet. Her pee is still yellow...anything i can do for that? Is this normal? But instead of her not peeing at sll shes peeing a bunch and im very happy about that it just concerns me because she has yellow urine...
