She is a hyper baby so I was trying to find something safe to put on the bottom of her cage. She is sooooooo different then Nork was.

I use it in the potty box that is in the cages. I do use fleece in the bottom of the cage, but a box of carefresh in the cage also.

Does yours chew on it?

Yeah, a little bit. They are older now, but when they were littler they chewed it more.

I use Carefresh for my domestic rabbit. One time I made the mistake of picking up the Baking Soda Oder Stop kind...that sh!t was awful and I'll never make that mistake again. It stank worse than anything that could ever come out of my bunny's butt.

For my squee's I have used Carefresh and it's always been the plain kind that is plain white. I am however thinking about switching to the natural color...have to do some reading and comparisons first.

What I use is the Ultra that also has baking soda in it. It does not smell nor have any ill effect on my babies. I have used it for months.

There have been some problems with it when used with rats with the idea that the baking soda is causing respiratory irritation. People still promote it but that's what has been going around amongst the rat groups. I don't know if there would be the same type of issue with other rodents since rats are already prone to respiratory issues.
