I'll spare you the details on what happened to that rat.. the bleeding from little bit was slow but steady for two hours he's 90 grams today Iv got infant ibuprofen how much does he need?!?! And how often? Also have equate first aid antiseptic topical solution 10% povidone solution. Took little bit to the vet for antibiotics they wouldn't give me any nor see little bit unless I gave him away and I'm to attached to just give him away so they sent me away please help..

We can dose infant ibuprofen, but you MUST be sure he is good and hydrated before giving it to him.

Such Compassion....(I know it's probably their local laws) but if they took " little bit" they might euthanize, as well.
Keep him warm, quiet and in the dark...until you get him dosed...according to his accurate gram weight.

ok thanks you and about the sugar glider pain medication will it work?

Probably but it depends on what you have and the strength. What do you have?
Was there a photo posted of your squirrel?

Bite area looks clean and he is showing no issues? If so, I would probably just keep it clean and watch the area carefully. The risk with a rodent, puncture type bite is mainly infection and/or tetanus. Do you have any idea how deep the bite was?

If he is not limping or crying or showing tears, then he may not even need any pain meds? But if you do give Ibuprofin, make sure he is well hydrated.

it bleed for two hours i didnt post a picture of the other side cause you cant see it but he was bleeding bad and cried for a while and whimpered all day until i gave him the meds i couldnt tell how deep but i know it had to be to bleed enough to turn a cup of water red i know he was in pain he seems to be better now i put triple antibiotic ointment on it but it dried and got crusty so i cleaned it off

How long has it been since he peed and pooped?

Geez, two hours is a long time to bleed. The bites must have gone deep. The pee/poop thing could be stress, dehydration, nerve damage, or internal organ damage (kidneys, for instance). I would say oral ABs are vital in this case.

I have a ball python, too (so sweet and gorgeous! Great with kids; most docile snake I've had). Do you always feed it live rats? That can be very dangerous to the snake, too, when it doesn't eat the prey. I feed mine frozen (and thawed and warmed) jumbo mice.

How is the baby this morning? Has he peed and/or pooped? Are you still giving him fluids? What antibiotics do you have on hand either for humans or for other pets? DO NOT give anything without being sure it is safe for a babay squirrel as well as dosing help
