Will try to capture this guy for sure... Daughter got a pic of Bobby while bird watching.. I have watched him grow.. And loose his tail .. He is about 6 months old.

Not posting in life threatening yet till i know whats there.. Second beat up squirrel i have seen today. Wonder if its a he and he tangoed with the other guy. Wound ? Squirrel pox ?

Poor little guy. :( Hope you are able to capture him. It's hard to tell what that might be from the picture. :dono

I have a little girl in the shed with owies on her head and one on her neck similar to that. It's frikkin COLD and I bet those wounds are from mating runs. I guess they gotta keep warn somehow. My little ones hurts aren't aerious at all but still don't like to see anybody hurt.

Yes it was the wound on his head that I saw first.. Did you see another wound?
( I ask cause I thought I saw one near his rear belly.. by the left leg.)
I hope its from mating ... I have seen the one guy.. and he is doing fine. I am NOT sure of BOBBY"S gender though. Bobby could be a girl. He/She won't let me get that close to him.

BUt I have not even seen Bobby again after this picture was taken.............

So I was not able to capture...

I have hope though.. Esp if you think this could be from mating fights.. Cause Bobby is not a daily visitor.. more like a weekly one. So he or she could be fine and out and about.. and may show up this week.

He has been shot. I have neighbors who used to shot them with a BeBe gun. I called Wild Life on them they don't do it anymore. Most of them will survive. There will be a few who do not. I used to sit outside and listen for the gun then call the Police. I live in N.J. it is against the law just to shot them. I feed about 65 Squirrels a day. I have been doing it for 11 years. I have seen a lot of Squirrels with boo boos. I can tell you most will cure themselves. It takes a couple of weeks but they do it. If the critter is hurt he will not come close. I have one for 7 years now and only she will come close. She is queen of the yard.
