Greetings and happy new year everyone. Hope everyone has had a good holiday.

So I just want to run a few pictures by you guys and get your opinion. The last week little Trooper-Marie has been sleeping more than usual and her activity level doesn't seem as high as it normally is. I don't know if she is just bored (I had final exams all week and couldn't play) and I'm being paranoid, or if something could be wrong. She is eating fine, she is still active and playful, and she's pooping and urinating fine. Just something is seeming slightly off. Tonight while I was spending some time with her and playing and I noticed that her tummy is seeming a little on the red side. I don't know if this is normal, or if this is something to be concerned about.

I will also note, that last week she got a hold of my unplugged USB phone cable and chewed it up. It was just a tiny cable that she took out of my pocket with out me noticing. I'm wondering if maybe a piece of this got stuck somewhere, and what the symptoms would be if that that were the case. She's not seeming like she is in any pain. She's gets pretty whiny, vocal, and cranky if something is bothering her. But her attitude is still fine and again, she is still active and playful. I don't think she would be playful if something was lodged in her tummy. So perhaps I am just being paranoid.

She did eat a tiny leaf on one of the house plants a little while ago as well, she's done this in the past and nothing's happened. But I thought I'd run this plant by you guys as well. I don't know my plants very well, so I'll post a picture of what it is.

So basically, I'm noticing her tummy being a bit on the red side, and a bit more lethargic than normal and more frequent naps, which could be due to boredom while I was doing my studying. Everything else seems fine, she's eating her blocks, and her usual fruits and veggies. I just want to be on the safe side and make sure everything is fine.

Thank you all for your time :)

The plant is called a Christmas Cactus ,it is not poisonous but can cause irritation to the skin, and vomiting if ingested.

Her fur looks quite sparse to me.
Not sure if it's the lighting or what.
Does she have exposure to any sun? You could get a reptile bulb
and see if that will help with the fur. These will help with calcium absorbsion too.
It seems that a lot of squirrels that have fur problems benefit from these.

They have screw in fluorescent bulbs, Reptisun 10.0 so all you would need is a clamp lamp
and hook it on the top of her cage when she's in it.

About the Christmas Cactus:

"Christmas Cactus
Many homes have the colorful house plants sitting dormant until the holiday season. Christmas cactus is toxic to dogs. Ingesting the leaves, flowers or branches causes bloody diarrhea, depression and vomiting."

Thank you guys for the help :)

It's been dreary here in Calgary. Just started getting sun this week, It was a whopping 16 degrees today. So I took her outside for a couple hours today to get plenty of sunlight. It's going to be the same tomorrow.
I'll get her a reptile bulb this week before the cold starts up again.
We have removed the plants, so she can't get to them anymore. She's so quick though lol. Plants are the first things she runs too when she's running around. I'm usually quick to stop her, but sometimes she'll find a leave that's dropped and runs right to it.
She seems to be doing better now, but ya I figured something was slightly off with her fur. Hopefully the sun and the bulb will help. I'll keep you guys posted :)
