Is it ok for squirrels to eat kiwi fruit? It's not on the sticky nutrition guide so wanted to make sure before offering.
Thanks so much!

I've read that the meat it okay for them-just no peel, but none of my squirrels will touch it- they just up their little noses

I give mine raw chunks of coconut on a regular basis-just no shell- it's supposed to be good for their coat.

Mine LOVE fresh coconut! Not too much or they tend to get soft stool. There is a lot of fat in coconut. I suppose that is what makes it so tasty...:grin3

Thank you so very much. If it's not on the list I won't let Max have it without checking with all you great folks here at TSB! :thankyou

Just a note about Kiwi, very high in oxalates! The shards of oxalates can actually hurt their tongues. Before I knew about this, I feed by foxer kiwi and she loved it, but would often stick her tongue out and sometimes make a gagging sound. Then I found out about the oxalates. High oxalates are bad for a variety of reasons. I no longer feed kiwi as a result.
