Please tell me if there is any way I can relieve arthritis in my Jimmy. He is about 6 or 7 now and it hurts my heart to see how cold damp weather makes him almost crippled. The dysfunction seems to be around his hips. Is there anything I could slip him that wouldn't make him less alert or make him dizzy? Any flower remedies I could sneak into the water? I pity him so. If I could get him to come in, I would gladly give him a warm pad, but he is the alpha squirrel and fiercely independent. He considers himself my boss, too.
Abby knows how he comes in my window most days to get water and nuts and avocado. He also eats food from the trees outside, but I have never been able to get him to take squirrel blocks, even wild bites.

Here Jill read this. You should find it helpful.
They mention Glucosamine/Chondroitin which I've seen used
many times on animals with arthritis.

Beat me to it, Nancy.
Get glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM - get the trio. Try to find the lowest mg of glucosamine you can - they make them all the way down to 250 mg. Yhat way you can just give him a quarter or half a rab - mixed with something yummy.
I would dose him with ibuprophen, too.

Beat me too...
I used it with great success on a cat.:Love_IconJimmy:Love_Icon
I got mine from my vet. It was a capsule and could be opened to break it down further.

Thanks, guys. I'll try it. I pity him so. I remember when he was a newly minted little pup out conquering the world (and girls).
