Has anyone had experience with a squirrels poop starting to look kinda grey and chalky? I'm thinking it's possibly due to excess calcium?

Very common. Just cut back on the calcium. Are you treating for MBD? If so, are you spacing out his doses through the day and not giving just one big dose?

No I'm not treating MBD
I usually drop a tums in the cage once a week and they nibble it a little here and there. Yesterday's was a different flavor and I'm pretty sure one of them devoured the entire thing ... and today is chalky poo

Too much can cause constipation, so you might want to hold back if they eat the whole thing at once.

I made sure there were no more stashed. ... usually they nibble maybe 1/8 of a tablet between the two of them in a week. But that's the yellow and green ones. ... apparently the red is much yummier so I learned today
So no more whole red tums I guess. I'm pretty sure they have a good diet and no MBD so I'll just stop
I haven't seen chalky poop before so I wasn't sure if that was why or if it was a concern
