I have posted before about the nearly yr. old squirrel, Itsy, that I am rehabbing until release this Spring. We have great fun together...playing games and just chatting. Saturday, I had Animal Planet on tv and Itsy and I were watching. A puppy was on and making noises. Itsy and I had been playing and he was stretched out on his cedar log when he went ballistic...his tail went up and he started the noise that my outside squirrels make when they see a predator. I shut off the tv, closed the blinds, tried to engage him in activites and nothing worked. He went on like this for 1 1/2 hours!! I left him alone and went to read hoping that if it was totally quiet he would stop. What in the world set him off, he does not make noises EVER so it really freaked me out. Could it have possibly been the puppy on the tv?? I know this sounds utterly ridiculous but I don't want this to happen again but not sure what caused it. In the afternoon he went back to being his sweet self and we played for most of the afternoon on his tire swing and tug of war which he LOVES.

It could have been the dog on TV or something he saw in the window (hawk in the sky?).
