I just wanted to post to make sure i am doing everything right. About 4am this morning i noticed my cats all in one corner in the kitchen. To my suprize there was a baby flyer on a box. I was abl to catch it and we are going to try to find the mother tonight . The Flyer is about 10-13 weeks old from what i can tell. It is on a heating pad just to keep its temp right. I am also going to give it some FV in a few minutes. IS there anything ele i can do or should know? i dont know much about flyers.
Thank you

Did she try to bite when you grabbed her? Can you post a pic? Chances are she has some buddies somewhere near your house. Are your cats strictly indoor or indoor-outdoor? If they are only indoor and got her from somewhere inside I think there is a good chance there are others. ;) thank you for taking care of this little sweetie. Did you give her any meds since the cats were messing with her?

Well sincei posted my daughter tore her ACL. I have been taking care of her a long with the baby flyer. Out of the blue with no warning the baby flyer passed away last night. I kept her warm , feed her milk every 4 hours. When i feed her i made sure she was warm and the milk milk was warm. I checked on her every hour for two days. Last night after she passed i hurt what i thought was a bat turned out to be another flyer about 35 up in a tree. The night we found the baby it looks like she fell from that height and was carried to my back door by one of the neighbor hood cats I have been racking my brain since last night trying to figure out what i did wrong. IT broke my heart to find her like that.
Today i was doing some research about the baby. What i read told me she was very small for the development she appeared to be in. I think the mother may of either dropped her or dropped her out of the nest. When i would feed her i did notice she was very sluggish and not active at all in the two days i had her. I thought maybe it was the stress from her night falling from the tree

I never saw this thread until just now. Did you give this flyer any antibiotics?
Anytime a cat is involved, we suggest putting the squirrel on a course of antibiotics.
Even a cat scratch can be lethal to a squirrel.
Rest in Peace

:Love_Icon Sorry About Your Daughters Injury, What Sport Is She Active In. And Because You Rescued The Little Flyer She Passed With A Full Tummy And Warm, Instead Of Being Scared, Cold And Alone, Bless Your Heart. :Love_Icon
