Do we have anyone in the DC area that can help a friend of mine ? A fellow classmate of mine just moved into a new apartment in that area... she is an author / war reporter for USA Today... Anyway, I have been greatly amused by her hilarious facebook posts concerning an unwelcome house guest that she has nicknamed ROUS (from the movie Princess Bride). As the story unfolds, I have become concerned that this may be a flyer (northern?) .. She has tried to trap, but ROUS has sampled the bait and gotten away. Her frustrations are building now, and her posts have gone from cute and funny, to advice on sticky traps, poison, and great gap filler. She is open to a humane rescue if that can be arranged . Any Ideas ?????

Contact/pm MiriamS she's in DC and a flyer expert.
Let us know if your able to reach Miriam...
What makes you think this (maybe) a flyer?
I suspect the trap she is using may not be sensitive enough
for a critter as light as a flyer? I have one that is.
I absolutely dislike driving in DC but of course will
help if needed.

She says its too big to be a mouse, too fast and cute to be a rat.. she has a hard time trying to get a picture. She takes pictures of the fruit he gets into every night... apples, bananas... It looks exactly like the little holes that my flyers make in food . She also says its very noisy running across the floor, and rats and mice are usually pretty sneaky and quiet. My flyers are loud and awkward on the floor ....

Please tell your friend to NOT use a sticky trap. Sticky traps are a brutal and sadistic way of killing a small animal.

I take it this flyer is in hiding, has there been any real success
with getting a flyer to go into a trap that anyone has heard of?
I'd be willing to loan my traps if she wants to give it a shot.
