There might not be a fix. Squirrels are often one person animals and regard all other people as threats or competitors. I know that is not what you want to hear but it often seems to be the case. Hopefully, someone else here will have some ideas that I have not heard of?

TD is right there is no fix that I have found. My girls soon to be 3,I can do anything I need with them the wife another story one can not touch unless I am holding her the other was a lover with her and now very little. But still gives some love just a little blood here and there. Hopefully more will chime in on this.

I have found with my guys that if you don't mess with them daily....with a missed day here and there....especially in the beginning ......they will not trust you. So my advice would be for your wife to bundle up...robe, gloves, socks and shoes...and just go in the room and sit, while you and your girl squirrel (name?) interact ....don't try to mess with her...just hang around, quietly.....if she keeps that up I believe over time she'll relax with her in the room...my guys have always behaved this way after someone has sat with them for awhile. Also, have some nuts (shelled, so she doesn't become more aggressive) with her to give the squirrel if she does come close....hang in there it will take time...but definitely worth it, if she turns around:thumbsup :Love_Icon

Agree with the above. Additionally, some other things to consider... at 1+ yrs old, your little one may be wilding up. Also, being a female, hormones could be a factor, which might mean that this behaviour will increase AND decrease with time.
It's always going to be a learning process with an essentially wild animal. They're all unique, some bond, and some to one person only.

You could also try putting a well worn t-shirt into her cage so that she can get accustomed to her scent being around.

My squirrel PiTi is jealous of my wife, but doesn't mind my daughter entering the room or cage area with me.I can just start talking to my wife through the screen door while my squirrel is on my shoulder and he will start biting me HARD!!. I think Animals as well as humans have that "Sixth sense".. I'm not sure it's fixable like others have said.
