Stomach worms questions - Joyeuse

I took a fecal sample into my Vet and my Cheerio has "stomach" worms. He just got his last 3 day dose of medicine and will do a recheck at the end of the week. Are these very harmful to them and are they harmful to my other pets or myself??

Joyeuse, most mammals have worms in their systems and good for you for catching this with your squirrel. (BTW, I had a squee named "Cheerio", too! :grin2) They can be harmful because they sap nutrients from the squirrel and cause weight loss, diarrhea, etc. They are not harmful to your pets or yourself.
