Hi...I have been taking care of a baby flyer since she was approx 2 weeks old. She is now about 8 weeks. My husband and I are going on a planned vacation next week, so we have been teaching my sister how to care for her. Yesterday, she went a little too fast and the baby (her name is Roo) coughed up the formula. It was all over her mouth and nose. I immediately stopped he feeding and wiped her face, and gently held her upside down. This occurred around 1500 yesterday, and it is now 1014 the following morning. She has been acting fine, no clicking or anything. I'm just worried that she could possibly develop pneumonia. Are there any other precautions I should be taking??

Well, I;d get some antibiotics at the ready, just in case. Cipro or Baytril are best. We can tell you how to dose if necessary and we have a weight on the sq.

Flyers are so small that they often never click, so look out for lethargy, loss of appetite, or any other changes.

Where can I get Cipro or Baytril?

Ask around. Cipro is very common for humans, Baytril for animals. Some pet stores sell it without a script as Fish Flox.

If you can't find these, tell us what you find and we can say if it can be used or not.

OK...I've called each pet store in my area and they don't sell Fish Flox. What one guy said is comparable to Fish Flox is t.c Tetracycline? They so have that in stock.

I was so able to get some cephalexin 500 mg capsules. Please advise if any of these are acceptable.
