My little Rocky has had a rough start but improving. He's been up and down most of the week. Today has been his best by far. He started bactrim Oct. 17 according to weight. When I picked him up he toped the scales at 219g. He is now 248g. My question is...... should it be increased due to gain? I have the info on crushed pill to water ratio so what I am looking for is weight dosing, it would be helpful now and in the future to have a chart. I have searched the site, I may have missed it. It is appreciated.:squirrel2

When did you weigh the squirrel? Was it first thing in the morning? We will have to adjust if we are going apples to apples for weighing time.

We have to be sure that you are weighing the baby before it has been eating. That can really change how much they weigh.

:dono I did answer your questions last night. Checked this morning to see if there was a response and I don't see my reply. So here goes again, Rocky is being weighed the same time every day before morning meal on a digital scale. Also, how long can the mixed abx be kept? As always thanks for your precious time.

You do NOT increase the dose of the antibiotic when a squirrel gains or loses weight.
The amount that is stated is what is to be given for the duration of time.
The mixed antibiotics are good for 10-15 days in the refrig. Discard after 15 days.
